New Developments of The Sacrifice Zone and the Magnetic North Theatre Festival
An exciting new development phase of The Sacrifice Zone began this morning at our former home St. Stephens in the Fields. What a great way to start with a read-through of the new draft by playwright Suzie Miller who joined us via Skype from Sydney.
Tomorrow, Theatre Gargantua is hitting the road for the Magnetic North Theatre Festival. We’re heading to Ottawa to participate in the Industry Series at Canada’s National Theatre Festival.
We’d like to welcome our Artistic Interns who joined us today Isabelle Siciliano and Ashley Ann Cagginaello.
Music in the Library – TG does Culture Days
This month we are taking part in Canada’s national celebration of culture. Culture Days are a great opportunity to get a rare, up-close experience with this country’s profuse and prolific makers of art. There’s a ton of stuff happening, so get out there and indulge your craving for culture. For our part, we are offering a Song Creation Workshop at the Toronto Public Library -Northern District. Come by and get a chance to compose music and create soundscapes in an ensemble setting; see how this company uses improvisational tools to create award-winning vocal scores. Our workshops are good fun and participants are always surprised with what they find themselves devising.
